Community Meeting on 17th Street Liquor Moratorium

Dupont Circle ANC 2B is hosting a community meeting to accept testimony and comments on the 17th Street “Dupont East” liquor moratorium on Monday, February 2, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at Foundry United Methodist Church at 1500 16th Street NW.

Meeting Details

  • ANC 2B has invited the community, along with stakeholder organizations—including the Dupont Circle Citizens Association, Historic Dupont Circle Main Streets and Dupont Circle Merchants and Professionals—to provide statements and/or comments on the current liquor moratorium, which is set to expire at the end of March.
  • In order to accommodate all attendees expected, stakeholder organizations will be limited to 5 minutes of testimony each.
  • Individual statements are limited to 2 minutes each.
  • There may be brief Q&A time to clarify testimony if required. More extensive written statements may be submitted to the ad hoc committee’s chairman, Jack Jacobson (2B-04), by emailing him at Please include your full name and address, or your business name and address, when submitting written testimony to be made part of the record. The record will be held open until the beginning of the ANC’s next monthly meeting, on Wednesday, February 11.
