As a native Illinoisan, I like this. The Logan Circle Community Association (LCCA), Illinois State Society and the National Park Service are holding the annual Memorial Day Commemoration starting at 12:30 p.m.

In case you didn’t know, Logan Circle is name for Civil War General John Alexander Logan, an Illinoisan. He was later a U.S. representative and senator (Republican) from The Prairie State and the 1884 candidate for vice president on the GOP ticket.
